  • 1. What are my state requirements?
     

    It depends on your state regulations. Check with your state for their particular requirements and take a look at the linked page here http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp for further home school information. No matter what the requirements are, our testing services are available year-round and typically must be administered within 12 months from beginning of your school year.

  • 2. What’s your Customer Service like?
     

    We strive to answer phone calls and e-mails within 24 hours. Sometimes that will be impossible and may take up to 48 hours. Customer service is important to us and we endeavor to improve daily. As with any service provider, we’re only as good as you say we are, so to that end, please let us know what you think.   • 3. What’s the difference between the Complete Battery 1st Grade Reader and Non-Reader tests?
     
    • 1st Grade Non-Reader Test
      • Subjects tested: Reading (Word Analysis, Vocabulary, and Comprehension) and Mathematics (Concepts and Applications)
      • Fewer questions than reader version
      • Targets K.6-1.6 grade range
    • 1st Grade Reader Test
      • Subjects tested: Reading (Word Analysis, Vocabulary, Comprehension), Language (Mechanics, Expression
      • Mathematics (Concepts and Applications), Science, and Social Studies
      • More questions than non-reader version
      • More independent reading is required by student (reading is on 1st grade level)
      • Targets 1.6-2.2 grade range
  • 4. How long can I keep the testing material?
     

    You will be permitted at least ten days to have the testing materials; a return postmark date will be given.

  • 5. What if I’m late in returning the materials?
     

    Please contact us IMMEDIATELY! A late fee may apply depending on the circumstances. If there is an EMERGENCY situation let us know IMMEDIATELY and we’ll be glad to work with you.

    Please note, Crosspointe Educational Services is not responsible for testing materials or Score Reports lost in the mail. We recommend that you photocopy your answer sheets to keep as a backup in such a circumstance.

  • 6. Which test, Complete Battery or Survey, is recommended?
     

    Both tests are state approved and are accepted by all states, the choice is entirely up to you. The Complete Battery test gives more information than the Survey as there’s a Diagnostic Profile included.

  • 7. Can Survey be used for every grade?
     

    No, the Survey test is only available for grades 2-12, while the Complete Battery is for K- 12th grade.

  • 8. How long will you keep test results on file?
     

    Keep the score reports in a safe place as these are your records. Please note that it is the responsibility of the school (Home or Private) to which Crosspointe Educational Services provided the testing service to store and keep the records and results we provide.

  • 1. What forms of payment does Crosspointe accept?
     

    Online: We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal.

    Mail: Check or Money Order.

    Note: Please include your order invoice that was e-mailed to you along with your payment by check or money order as it allows us to track orders properly. Select "Check or money order" as your payment method and be sure to click the "Submit Order" button after reviewing, otherwise your order isn't completed. Processing will not begin until payment is received.

  • 2. Is there a discount for group ordering?
     

    Group pricing is available. Information is available on-line or you may contact us either by e-mail, info@cestesting.com, or call our office toll free at, 888.713.1249. Please note that all orders must go to one address and be returned from one address.

  • 4. What does the price include?
     

    The price of our testing service covers all testing materials, shipping to you and a Score Report, along with the Diagnostic Profile if the student has taken the Complete Battery. You are responsible for shipping costs in returning the testing materials to Crosspointe Educational Services.

  • 5. How soon before testing should I order?
     

    When ordering our testing services, please remember that we need at least two weeks advance notice to allow for processing. A shorter time period may be possible and we will accommodate your request as best as possible. Please send us an e-mail with your request at info@cestesting.com or call us, toll free, at 888.713.1249 before placing your order. A rush processing fee may apply.

  • 6. When will I receive the test and what should I do once I receive them?
     

    Tests are sent to you at the beginning of the week prior to your chosen testing week. Be sure to check your order upon receipt to familiarize yourself with the test and paperwork. Keep tests securely stored as you are responsible for the security of the test.

  • 7. What is your refund policy?
     

    If you choose to cancel your order at least three weeks prior to your testing week, a full refund will be granted. If you cancel your order less than three weeks prior to testing, but prior to shipping of materials, this is typically one week prior to test week, a full refund less a $15.00 processing fee will be granted. If you cancel your order after the materials have been shipped, a refund of one-half the order will be granted provided that all materials are returned to Crosspointe Educational Services within one week of cancellation. If materials are damaged, have been used, or are not received within one week of canceling or original test week, no refund will be granted.

  • 3. What are the similarities in the Complete Battery and Survey tests?
     

    They both cover the same subjects: Vocabulary, Reading, Spelling, Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Study Skills and produce a report that gives your students performance as well as the national norms information.

  • 10. What are the differences in Complete Battery and Survey tests?
     

    There are two major differences in the tests; the first is the duration of testing and the second is the analysis and reporting of results.

    The Survey test has twenty questions per section and can be completed in about four hours. The Complete Battery test varies between 20 to 50 questions per section and it takes about 6-8 hours to administer, spread over 3-5 days, depending on the grade level.

    The Survey test gives your students performance as well as the national norms information while the Complete Battery tests contain that and more. In addition to the national norms information that is given, the Complete Battery report will have a Diagnostic Profile which breaks down each subtest into the objectives that were tested; for example, adding fractions, subject-verb agreement, etc. The Diagnostic Profile will show whether or not the student mastered each of the tested objectives.

  • 11. What if my student has special needs?

  • 12. Can Survey be used for every grade?
     

    No, the Survey test is only available for grades 2-12, while the Complete Battery is for K- 12th grade.

  • 13. Who may administer the test?

  • 14. How long will you keep test results on file?
